undercover
And laid on my side
either side
she appears
she's there
waiting
unpatient
clawing at duvet demand
until granted entry
past chest and belly
she nuzzles my hand
flenses
with rough loving tongue
then headbutts legs
until I part
allowing
soft sinuous passage
between thighs
to curl and nestle
in crooked
folded legs
behind knees
her safe space since
arrival years past
secure settled asleep
